Watch The Sun Go Down
by Alex Watt & Roger Corbett

She looks to the West she's all alone
She remembers how he kissed her when he left home
He finally got a job but it took him interstate
She really wants him home but she knows she'll just have to wait

Hey she'll watch the sun go down see the stars come out
And wonder where he is tonight
She's missing him again wondering when
He'll be back in town so they can watch the sun go down

From a noisy truck cafe he calls her on the phone
He thinks about the tears she cried when he left home
He talks about the money and the life that they could buy
But it gets a little harder every time he says goodbye

Hey he'll watch the sun go down see the stars come out
And wonder how she is tonight
He's missing her again wondering when
He'll be back in town so they can watch the sun go down

He goes where the work is she stays at home
And they think about the better days to come
He tries not to worry and she tries not to care
'Bout that lonely feeling when you miss someone

Hey she'll watch the sun go down see the stars come out
And wonder where he is tonight
She's missing him again wondering when
He'll be back in town

Hey he'll watch the sun go down see the stars come out
And wonder how she is tonight
He's missing her again wondering when
He'll be back in town so they can watch the sun go down
