Old Koorda Town
by Alex Watt & Roger Corbett

Down the road down the track
Although I've left I keep going back
My heart drives me drives me on
To the place that was my home

Through the wheat fields of green
Back to that old Town I once dreamed
Of working soil breaking ground
Breaks my heart it's all gone now

Used to be my lifeblood
Used to be my home
Used to be the place my children played
Now familiar faces
Turn and look away
Old Koorda town I know I just can't stay

Drive for miles sun goes down
Coz all the roads lead to Koorda town
Had some friends who used to care
And I wonder are they still there

I don't live in Old Koorda town
And we don't work that Old Koorda ground
A part of me still planted there
Waiting for rain in the dusty air
Old Koorda Town I know I just can't stay
